PTV 1000 Online Turbidity Meter White LED / EPA
Turbidity is the key measurement parameter for determining drinking water quality. Lovibond Tintometer asked a team of globally recognized turbidity experts to create a new process instrument that addressed all the issues customers struggle with using their turbidity systems. With these advancements and addition of state-of-the-art communications and user interface, the PTV 1000 was created for the next generation of process turbidity meters.
The development of the PTV Series considered every aspect of process turbidity workflow. It has looked at the installation and set up; the daily measurement and control; the routine procedures such as calibration, verification and maintenance as well as the collection of data and management.
Sample Management Simplified:
The Fluidics Manager on the PTV 1000 is an additional accessory that can streamline samples flowing into and out of the instrument. It eliminates the need to install and maintain separate devices to control the sample entering and exiting the sensor. It controls the sample flow rate into the flow body and can easily drain the flow body for management and cleaning purposes. There is no need for the user to create their own funnelling system to take out the sample if using the Fluidics Manager. This can be mounted to the instrument panel
Regulatory Compliant:
The PTV Series has instruments that meet EPA and ISO regulatory requirements. The instrument can easily be configured with additional features such as integrated flow indication, digital communication protocols and Bluetooth® connectivity. Everything the users need for calibration and verification protocols as well as other key accessories to provide a single source for turbidity measurement are supplied by Lovibond Tintometer.
PTV 1000 vs. A Standard Turbidity Measurement:
The PTV 1000 was compared to a popular standard turbidimeter in a drinking water filtration plant to see which had the better result. Both instruments were logged via the Modbus and they were set with the same data log interval. The PTV 1000 required a sample flow rate that was lower than the standard turbidimeter to yield an equivalent response time. This will have a substantial impact on sample consumption in the long term. You can find the results of the tests for the PTV 1000; here.
