The Iscove’s IMDM is the most well known and widely used modification of Dulbecco’s MEM. It is a completely defined, serum free medium, supplemented with albumin, transferrin and lecithin, selenium, amino acids, vitamins and HEPES buffer, pyruvate and KNO3 instead pf FE (NO3)3. It was originally developed for rapid propagation of erythropoietic and hemopoietic bone marrow precursor cells in a serum free media. This medium is ideal for hybridoma and T-/B-Lymphocytes cell culture in humans and mice.
